Pink doesn’t want to be the girl at 4am you call, but she does want to make out with herself in her latest video, Sober. Or whatever it is that’s going on here. She performed this on the AMA’s also, if you happened to catch that. Ironically, Scott Weiland, formerly of the Stone Temple Pilots, introduced someone right before Pink performed and he obviously wasn’t sober. Rock on, I guess. Here are some picture of Pink, who is also throwing a big New Year’s Eve party in Vegas at her ex-boyfriends bar, Wasted Space. The video is below also, check it out.

In our haste to crown Bourne the champ, though, seems in our ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny battle royale we forgot about another tiny franchise star.

And Jason Statham doesn’t mince words about who he thinks would REALLY come out on top.

“Oh, he’d slap old Bond around a couple of times, wouldn’t he?” Statham laughed of his “Transporter” character Frank Martin, returning to theaters within a few weeks of Bond with “Transporter 3.”

“You know, it’s difficult to say but we do a lot of our own fight sequences and we keep it pretty realistic and pretty cool. We don’t have many stunt doubles. Not to take anything away from what the Bond franchise people do, but I know they work with a lot of stuntmen and we tend to get stuck in and do our own stuff.”

That’s for the fighting. Of course, what Frank Martin really does well is drive. So guess who Statham thinks would win in a road race between him and Jason Bourne?

“A road race?” Statham asked? “Well, it’s gonna be me looking in the rear view mirror I suppose!”

It’s 3:15 in the morning, and I’ve just returned to the office to reflect on seeing “Twilight” after a year of anticipation and approximately 2500 pages of the series. Knowing the characters to the extent that I do, I’m not sure what I was expecting. The concept of capturing the lives of Bella and Edward in a two-hour movie seemed like an overly ambitious task. Despite the respect I have for Catherine Hardwicke, Stephenie Meyer’s attention to detail and the complex emotions clearly experienced by her characters was never going to be met by a film version of the story.

I was able to speak to a bunch of Twilighters as they walked into the theater on 42nd street, each of them part of the first group to see the much-anticipated and now cultish film. The twenty-five theater complex was empty with the exception of the Twilighters but the energy emanating from within its walls was overwhelming, nonetheless.

One girl told me that she’d only been into the “Twilight” series for a month, but was already on the fourth book, “Breaking Dawn.” Another had bought her tickets online a month ago. These kids came from all over– one had traveled all the way from Miami yesterday, just to participate in tonight’s midnight release.

Perhaps the most bizarre encounter I had was a girl who came up to us with the book and politely let us know that her hands were the ones shown on the cover. WHAT!? Sure enough, her hands were the same ones that all of us Twilight fans had gotten to know so well over the past year or so. And of course, there were a few, like me, who were nervous because the books were so compelling, and feared the film wouldn’t live up. Notwithstanding, we were all there, filing into the theater at midnight, to get our first glimpse of Edward, Bella, and all the rest.

So… it’s over now. What did I think? Honestly, I have mixed feelings. I’m not sure I felt the same way as TBD who immediately exclaimed “I want to see it again right now!!” after I asked her if the film lived up to her expectations. There were, perhaps inevitably so, details from the book that I felt would have been helpful and even integral to the understanding of those who had not yet read the series. What was that field trip? And, remember what a big deal it was that Rosalie hated Bella? That was barely touched upon. And, perhaps it cheapened the story a bit to show us glimpses of the nomadic murdering vampires, who, in the book, are left up to more suspense as they’re introduced through Bella’s perspective.

That said, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart do, for me, pass as good representations of Edward and Bella, respectively, and I was captivated while watching the entire Cullen family, and the way that Hardwicke brought them to life.

But this is all just my opinion… What did you think?

Has the “Twilight” backlash already begun mere hours away from the film’s release? For those of you who missed it, the notoriously animated Twilighter community have an entirely new reason to get, well, animated. “South Park” (which airs on our sister network Comedy Central), like it or not, has become a leader in the realm of social commentary, and last night the show took aim at the vampire phenomenon in an episode titled “The Ungroundable.”

Of course, in true “South Park” style, the writers showed no mercy on “those vampire kids,” who they depict as wannabe Goths that have transitioned from Abercrombie to Hot Topic in an attempt to follow the latest trend.

And our favorite human Bella Swan even gets an open — although inaccurate — shout out by name from one of the vampire kids, as they frantically search for the best place to eat lunch away from direct sunlight…even though vampires don’t eat.

So of course, as with every cultural phenomenon, there are bound to be haters. For those of you who saw “The Ungroundable,” was “South Park”’s interpretation funny or unfair?

Or, keep in mind that just two weeks ago, “South Park” lampooned President-elect Barack Obama and his opponent, John McCain. Do you Twilighters take some pride in knowing that everybody’s favorite vampire family has been viewed on the same level as the future leader of the free world?

Is parody the sincerest form of flattery? Or did last night’s episode just cater to the haters?
